Are you a Brownfield Instrument designer eager to work on innovative HV offshore substation projects and O&G brownfield/skid related activities? Our client is a leader in delivering advanced engineering solutions that shape the future of the energy sector.

 

Main Activities:

  • Assess client requirements, applicable standards, and regulations.
  • Review ‘As Built’ and ‘As Is’ documentation, if available.
  • Prepare a list of foreseen instrumentation deliverables.
  • Evaluate the existing 3D model and/or scan model.
  • Provide input to and follow through with the 3D model.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (MDR, planning, process, mechanical, weight control, etc.).
  • Coordinate with the client.
  • Contribute to necessary datasheets and requisition packages for new instrumentation components (field instrumentation, valves, DCS, telecoms, F&G, etc.) to be procured or modified.
  • Review vendor bids and documentation.
  • Determine the reusability of existing and available control/telecom cables.
  • Select cables (supported by an engineer).
  • Size main cable trays and penetrations, including assessing existing ones for reusability.
  • Prepare demolition and modification/new packages, including:
    • MTO.
    • Block and connection diagrams.
    • Hookup typicals.
    • Cable list.
    • Cable routing.
    • Main cable trays and penetrations layout.
    • F&G detection layout.
    • Instrumentation equipment layout.
    • Telecommunication layout.
    • Panel layouts (marking of the existing vendor panel layouts).
    • Block and connection diagrams.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working for an engineering company.
  • Experienced in Brownfield detailed design activities.
  • Familiar with NAM/Shell standards.
  • Experienced with Offshore (Oil & Gas) platforms.
  • Proficient in independently preparing electrical design deliverables such as:
    • Cable lists.
    • Block diagrams.
    • Cable tray/equipment/F&G/telecom layouts.
    • Loop diagrams.
    • Connection diagrams.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • In possession of offshore certificates (BOSIET).
