Junior Piping Designer

As a Junior Piping Designer, you will play an important role in the design and documentation of piping systems, ensuring compliance with standards and client requirements. You will collaborate closely with the Lead Designer and other team members to produce high-quality drawings and support the overall project objectives. Your ability to perform site visits and field measurements will be essential in verifying the accuracy and feasibility of designs.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assessing client requirements, applicable standards, and regulations
• Creating, modifying, and maintaining 2D drawings using AutoCAD
• Providing input to the Lead Designer on Master Document Register (MDR), progress, and status control
• Executing relevant digital and manual filing of project documents
• Reviewing vendor documentation
• Checking drawings with a focus on interfaces with other disciplines
• Ensuring designs meet operational requirements, constructability, and maintainability
• Adhering to procedures of Quality Management Systems, information security, and health and safety
• Assessing “As Built” and “As Is” documentation, if available
• Performing site visits and field measurements, including “As Built” checks
• Determining reusability of existing systems and identifying tie-in locations
• Preparation of:
  • 3D reviews using NavisWorks
  • Isometric drawings
  • Layout drawings
  • Pipe support drawings
  • Material Take-Offs (MTOs)
  • Piping studies
  • Layout studies

Requirements:

• Completed MBO (secondary vocational education)
• Courses in Piping Design 1 & 2
• Affinity with technical fields
• Proficient in 2D and 3D software
